Together for greater biodiversity on the Renon plateau

Parkhotel Holzner recently took part in a reforestation initiative organised by the Renon Tourism Association on a meadow near Oberinn.

Together with other local tourism businesses, young resilient shrubs were planted under the guidance of the local forestry station in order to strengthen the natural landscape and support local biodiversity. Shrubs and hedges play an important role in improving the microclimate, absorbing CO₂ and creating valuable habitats for many animal and plant species.

Combined with the traditional dry-stone walls typical of the Renon area, these natural structures help create important refuges for insects, reptiles and other wildlife.

Through initiatives like this, we hope to contribute — even in small ways — to a more conscious and respectful relationship with nature and the surrounding landscape.
